DESCRIPTION A unique combination of enzymatic derived NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) an active form of vitamin B3, and a polyamine called spermidine, derived from wheat germ extract. NMN is a direct NAD+ precursor, unlike the popular molecule Nicotinamide Riboside (NR) which must first be converted into NMN. NMN has been shown to enhance energy metabolism, improve mitochondrial metabolism and prevent age-linked changes in gene expression. This has systemic impacts by improving processes that can become faulty as we age, including maintaining insulin sensitivity, eye function, cardiovascular health, inflammatory clearance and cognitive function. Spermidine belongs to a class of molecules called polyamines which are important for cell growth, cell repair, maintenance of transport channels called ion channels, and inducing autophagy. Like NAD+, we see polyamine levels decrease with age. Supplementing with spermidine has been shown to have healthy aging effects, by improving the health of cells and prolonging their lifespan.
