It works to calm excess sympathetic tone with GABA, L-theanine, and the adaptogen holy basil. Holy basil helps induce relaxation, promotes a feeling of calm, and reduces stress, both acutely and addressing underlying dysfunction. L-theanine is the amino acid predominately found in green tea associated with increased alpha wave activity in the brain, resulting in a calming, yet alert effect.
