The Mandarin tree is a tree native to Southeastern Asia. It is grown in Spain, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt and the United States. Petit grain is the name given to the essential oil obtained by distilling the leaves of the Bitter Orange, Lemon or Mandarin tree. Each tree results in three different essential oils, depending on how it is obtained: from the leaves (Petit Grain), the flower (Neroli) or the rind (fruit ). Petit Grain is used in perfumery and in cologne.
