Cold-pressed from the kernel of the baobab fruit, our Baobab Oil repairs and hydrates skin and damaged, dry hair, and it fights age signs.
Cold-pressed from the kernel of Africa’s most recognizable tree, certified organic Baobab Oil is an exotic luxury oil. Our pure Baobab Oil repairs and hydrates dry skin and damaged hair; it also fights the visible signs of aging skin.
The massive and long-limbed baobab is also dubbed the “monkey-bread tree” or “upside-down tree,” so named for the spindly branches, spreading upwards from the thick trunk, that resemble a root system more than a tree’s crown. Most evocatively, it’s called the “tree of life,” due to its many uses such as food or shelter. Since this adaptive tree can store up to 120,000 litres of water inside its hollow trunk during times of draught, it is also used as a source of water.
Africa boasts a rich history of skin- and hair-care recipes sourced from the natural ingredients provided by its lush and varied landscape, and baobab oil is a shining example of this heritage. Our pure, unrefined Baobab Oil is characterized by its clear, golden colour and subtle, nutty scent. Thick and luxurious to the touch, it absorbs rapidly into the skin, leaving its surface supple yet nongreasy.
High in vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids, Baobab Oil nourishes and improves skin elasticity and soothes dry skin.
A few drops of Baobab Oil dabbed onto delicate areas—such as the eye contours, throat, and décolletage—will help moisturize these sensitive zones. For a more intensive treatment, use as a hair mask to strengthen and repair dry or damaged locks, drawing the oil from roots to tips, leaving it in for 10–15 minutes, and finishing with a nice scalp rub before rinsing.
Add 10 or 20 drops to a warm, damp facecloth for an indulgent postbath massage, a fantastic addition to any self-care ritual.
Profoundly healing for dry skin as well as beautifying, our 100% pure and organic Baobab Oil is a luxurious, skin-care ally for your face, body, and hair.
