Description
Cashews are the rich, sweet, and creamy seed of the cashew apple. Although native to Northeastern Brazil, our cashews are products of Vietnam – the world’s no.1 exporter of cashews. Cashews have a lower fat content that other nuts, and carry mostly oleic acid, which is the same monounsaturated fat found in olive oil. They are also good sources of protein, iron and magnesium.
Uses
Raw cashew pieces are perfect for both baking and cooking. They are excellent sprinkled on salads or in stir-fry recipes. In Asian cuisines, cashews are also widely used as flavouring and garnish.
Storage
Product should be stored in a dry, cool place away from heat and light, for an estimated shelf life of 6 months. To extend shelf life recommended storage temperature is between 4-7°C.
