Description
Dextrose is a crystalline sweetener produced through the total hydrolysis of cornstarch. It is completely fermentable, readily soluble in water, and is approximately 65%-90% as sweet as sucrose. Dextrose is used in a variety of sugary food applications such as ice cream, confectionery, and bread and is suitable for the vegetarian and vegan diets.

Uses
With a refreshing sweet taste, Dextrose can promote browning and enhance texture. It can also be used as a fermentable energy source in applications such as confectionery, bakery mixes, beverages, ice cream and dessert powders.
Storage
For an estimated shelf life of 12 months, product should be stored in a clean dry location, with temperatures under 27°C, and 70% maximum humidity. Product can be stored ambient conditions, but it increases the potential of forming lumps.
