Description The azuki bean is a small burgundy coloured Asian bean. Azuki beans are also known as aduki beans or adzuki beans. Directions Rinse 1 cup of beans. Pour into boiling water and cover. Soak for 6 hours. Drain and discard soaking water. Add 4 cups fresh water and simmer over low heat until tender, approximately 2–2 1/2 hours. Uses Azuki beans are used in Asian cuisine to make red bean paste filling for steamed breads, dumplings, and sweet cakes. They can also be used in soups and salads. Storage Store in a cool, dry location. Keep away from direct heat, sunlight and moisture. Under these conditions product should have an estimated shelf life of 24 months.
