Description
This is prepared by rolling organic brown rice kernels to thin flakes. The brown rice flakes are beige in colour and does not contain any food preservatives and additives.
Directions
Add 1/3 cup cereal to 1 cup boiling water. Cook gently for 3 to 5 minutes. Add fruit, milk, or sweetener as desired.
Uses
Rice flakes can be eaten raw by immersing them in plain water or milk with salt and sugar to taste. It can also be lightly fried in oil with nuts, raisins, cardamom, and other spices to add flavour. Brown rice flakes can also be reconstituted with hot water to make porridge.
Storage
Product should be stored in a dry and cool area (optimum 15˚C – 20˚C). Recommended shelf life is 9 months.
