Description
These are peeled, dried green peas. They are a light green colour, with a slightly sweet, mealy flavour when cooked.
Directions
Rinse 1 cup peas. Pour into boiling water and cover. Soak for 6 hours or overnight. Drain. Add 4 cups fresh water and simmer over low heat until tender, approximately 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
Uses
Use organic whole green peas in soup, curries, pureed as a side dish, or mixed in with other vegetable dishes.
Storage
When stored in a cool (preferably less than 60˚F) and dry location (less than 65% humidity), shelf life is approximately 24 months.
