Description
Peanuts are a member of the legume family, related to lentils, peas, chickpeas, and other beans. Peanuts are also known as ground nuts, goober peas, monkey nuts, and pig nuts. Blanched peanuts have had their shell and skin removed.

Uses
Roasted blanched peanuts are ideal for baking, or they can be enjoyed as a snack. They are excellent sprinkled on salads, in stir-fry recipes, or other meat and vegetable dishes.
Storage
Roasted peanuts must be stored in a dry, cool place, away from heat and light, for an estimated shelf life of 6 months. To extend shelf life recommended storage temperature is between 35-45°F.
