Walnuts have a mildly flavoured nutmeat that contrasts with the slightly bitter skin. These pasteurized walnuts have been broken into pieces that are a convenient size to use in recipes. They also make an excellent addition to salads or poultry stuffing. Storage Walnuts must be stored in a dry, cool place, away from heat and light, for an estimated shelf life of 6 months.
