Wheat germ is the embryo of the seed that would cause it to germinate. It is separated in the normal commercial milling process where the germ passed through rollers to flatten the particles. The product may contain a small portion of bran. This product is non-GMO.

Wheat germ is usually added to baked goods to increase their nutritional value. For breakfast, combine yogurt, chopped nuts, chopped fruits, and wheat germ.
